The Italian blog Grandslam published another set of rumors out of the Italian Baseball League on Monday.
- Montepaschi Grosseto: We already knew since a few weeks about the return of Kelly Ramos. Another former player of the Orioles also could come back. The 28-year-old outfielder Gino Lolli played for Grosseto in 2006 and 2007. He began his Italian Baseball League career in 2005 with Palfinger Reggio Emilia. In 164 games he has a batting average of .279 (OBP .349/SLG .405).
- Danesi Nettuno: Besides the return of Roberto De Franceschi, Nettuno also seems to be on the verge of reaching an agreement with James Buccheri and Vincent Parisi. Buccheri played for Rimini between 2002 and 2006 and for San Marino in 2007 and 2008. The 41-year-old has a .314 career batting average (OBP .392/SLG .425) in the IBL. Parisi is ten years younger and already played for Nettuno in 2007 and 2008. Other teams in his IBL career since 2002 were Parma and San Marino. He has batted .271 (OBP .359/SLG .354) so far.
- Telemarket Rimini: It is no secret that German national team left-hander Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez would like to join the Italian Baseball League. According to the blog entry by Grandslam the Pirates seem to be a step closer in acquiring the 35-year-old.
