The Independent League club Lincoln Saltdogs should consider a name change. After Curt Smith, Dashenko Ricardo and Randolph Oduber they have signed a fourth Dutch national team player. Outfielder Chris Garia was added to the roster at the end of last week. The 23-year-old was released by the Texas Rangers this year and then joined the Vaessen Pioniers of the Dutch Hoofdklasse for the stretch run of the 2016 season. During his seven-year minor league career he batted .258/.324/.364 in 473 games between Rookie ball and Triple-A.
