33-year-old Italian national team first baseman / outfielder Chris Colabello has signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians, which also includes an invitation to Major League Spring Training. He had become a free agent early in December after playing for the Toronto Blue Jays last season. In April he got suspended for 80 games following a failed anti-doping test. He returned at the end of the season and played in 45 Triple-A games without getting called up to the big leagues.
