More than 210 spectators attended the 8-1 victory by Chinese Taipei over the Czech Republic in the opener of a four-game exhibition series between the two teams on Monday at Strawberry Field in Blansko, Czech Republic. Sheng-Feng Wu earned the win, while Jan Novak was charged with the loss. Five combined runs in the second and third decided the outcome early. The Czech team committed an uncharacteristically five errors in the game. Games two to four will be played in Brno. Chinese Taipei will participate in the Honkbalweek Haarlem starting on Friday.
