The two leaders in the Spanish Division de Honor met last weekend in Tenerife and both teams got away with a win.
Yaeko Vazquez and Jose Cruz homered for SANT BOI in the eleventh inning of game one to lead their team to a 2-1 victory. PUERTO CRUZ tried to rally in the bottom of the frame, but besides a RBI groundout by Richard Montiel they could not score. Albert Vargas (BOI) allowed three hits in eight-plus innings. Renny Duarte (MPC) gave up seven hits and three walks in nine innings. Fernando Quijada picked up the win, Leslie Nacar took the loss.
Was the first match of the doubleheader decided in the end, the only run of the second was put on the board in the beginning of the game. The MARLINS took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first on Dewis Navarro’s sac fly and held on to the small advantage till the end. Ivan Granados (W 9-1) struck out nine in a complete game shutout. He gave up five hits and five walks. Yoel Hernandez (L 5-2) also got nine K’s, though he also allowed the decisive run on six hits and three base on balls in seven innings.

EL LLANO moved their record to 16-8 with a sweep on the road against NAVARRA. They are now three games out of first place.
In game one the team from Gijon scored four fast runs and led 4-0 after three innings to defeat NAVARRA 4-2. Roberto Noriega had two doubles and a RBI. Javier Jose Flores, Emilio Perez and Juan Alonso also drove in runs. Hector Perozo cut the deficit in a half with a two-run shot in the sixth. Fidel Mane (W 4-3) allowed eight hits, two runs and a walk in nine innings for the win. He struck out nine. Juan Jose Lopez (L 2-2) was charged with eight hits, four runs and a bb in 5 1/3 innings.
The second match was much more thrilling. The game went back and forth with four lead changes till the sixth. However the outcome was decided in the top of the tenth, when EL LLANO scored the winning run on a throwing error by the second baseman. Emilio Perez had a double and three RBI. Pedro Mendez scored three runs, Roberto Noriega two. Javier Zabalza scored twice for NAVARRA. Starter Carlos Fente (LLA) allowed four hits, six runs (3 ER) and seven bb in six innings. Alberto Espanol (NAV) didn’t fare better in his start. He gave up four hits, five runs (3 ER) and four walks in 4 2/3 innings. Ariel Ledezma (W 3-1) got the win, Victor Martinez (L 1-1) the loss.

VILADECANS moved past PAMPLONA in the standings with two victories last weekend.
CB scored the winning runs in game one in the bottom of the eighth on two errors to beat CD 4-2. Yulman Ribeiro (W 4-6) allowed six hits, two runs (1 ER) and a walk in nine innings. Alexis Fumero (L 1-7) gave up seven hits, four runs (3 ER) and two bb in eight innings.
On Sunday morning VILADECANS pounded out 19 hits en route to an easy 15-0 shutout. Jehan Machado was three-for-four with five RBI. Jordi Perez had three hits, a double, a RBI and three runs. Every of the ten used batters had at least a hit and a run or a RBI for CB. Alberto Magallon (W 3-6) pitched six innings, allowing four hits and two walks. Alberto Casanellas (L 4-6) gave up six runs (5 ER) on nine hits in 4 1/3 innings.
