Champions of past Years meet in Austrian Baseball League

The champions of the past four seasons in the Austrian Baseball League will meet on Thursday in Vienna, when the METROSTARS (ABL winners 2005, 2006, 2007) take on the MOSQUITO ATHLETICS (2008). Each team has seven victories on its belt so far this year and is currently battling for second place in the standings, trailing the SUPERFUND WANDERERS, which have solidified first place with a 12-2 record.

Three more matchups will follow on Saturday and Sunday, with the METS playing for a second time against the TIGERS. The WANDERERS travel to DORNBIRN, while the VIKINGS take on the DIVING DUCKS. The A’s are going to host one of European Cup Qualifier next week.
