So there will be a great opportunity for fans to refresh the rules of the game and sit before the screen of your smartphone, tablet or computer to see in what shape the Centaurs enters into the final phase of the competition.
Centaury Television, the official streaming channel of Warsaw baseball players have so far in its library the live transmission of: 18th game of the regular season, the third Polish Women’s Softball League (softball – the female version of baseball), Super Cup in Softball, Polish Cup qualifier baseball, Little League Baseball Final between Uganda and Spain and sparring with Kutno.

Autumn is a great time to promote baseball due to the nature of the games, which are entering a decisive phase. The first phase of the playoffs starts during baseball weekend of 5-6 September. The top four teams will compete with each other for three wins. After a season in which each team played 20 matches, the teams will meet in the battle for the championship. The leader of high-end games (BaseballExtraligue) was Stal Kutno with 13 wins and 7 defeats. The second place is occupied by Warsaw Centaurs with the same balance of victories and defeats. In this case the number of won matches between Stal&Centaury decided about the order in the statement. Third place is occupied by KSB in Wroclaw with a score of 12/8 and the fourth by Dęby Osielsko (located near Bydgoszcz) with a score of 11/9. Neither team from Zory – Gepardy with a score of 7/13 nor Silesia Rybnik with a score of 4/16 were qualified to play in play offs. However, due to plans to increase teams in the Extraliga, none of them will fall to the first division, which this season has nine teams divided into three groups.
In the first round in September, the teams will play in the following pairs: places 1-4 and 2-3, which means that Kutno will play vs Osielsko and Warsaw vs Wrocław. The team that will win 3 matches faster will play in the finals, which also will be played to three victories. Competition is conducted in the “best of five system”, which means that in the first two games of the meeting, the home team will be the team that has achieved more victories during the regular season, the next two matches will be played away from home and if there willbe a need to play one more game, the teams will return for the fifth meeting. Warsaw baseball players do not have their field in the capital city, so all their games played in the role they play host, are organized in Kutno in a distance of 150 km from Warsaw.
Kutno – the most entitled Polish team with 16 won cups in thenational championships, bolstered by some players from the Czech Extraleague, is the favorite to win league this season. Kutno had a great start in this season with many victories. The end has not been so good. Avalanche of lost games in the second part of the competition meant that it was not that obvious whether Stal will remain the lead before the playoffs. Stal Kutno performances on the international stage, unfortunately, did not impress. Team was placed at last place in the group at the European Cup, but as many players from this team stood in the Polish national team it will definitely pay off in the battle for the national championship.
Osielsko – is a team over which hangs a syndrome of second place in the league. Dęby are finalists with only one title (2004). For last several seasons they have in their ranks a fewyoung talented players who successfully excel on the pitch. Dęby like other clubs to achieve their goals uses the support ofplayers from other leagues. Match with Kutno will probably be one of the fiercest meetings this season.
Warsaw – Centaurs, which in its history won the national championship only once, and it happened two years ago, are again hungry for success. After a year break in play offs they have once again a great opportunity to participate in the final. April next year is a round anniversary of the first club in the capital – AZS Warszawa, so it’s a perfect moment for the Centaurs to enroll in the history of Polish baseball. For players from Warsaw at the moment the role model is no longer existing team Skra, who has won four “rings”.
Wroclaw – second place team from last season. They are a very stubborn and brave opponent. Certainly they will compete in the first round, especially at home on their pitch. The team that played the best of their expected start to the season finally caught a slight shortness of breath and was ranked in third place. They will play the first match with Centaurs in Kutno. Wroclaw has its own pitch. Unfortunately, it is regularly devastated and the team has to invest money in it all the time.
