CEB names Boris Rothermundt Special Assistant for MLB Relations

Head of French Baseball Academy Boris Rothermundt becomes special assistant to President SEMINET in a will to strengthen the cooperation between CEB and MLB.

The Confederation of European Baseball appoints Boris Rothermundt as special assistant to the President Didier Seminet. In this newly created position, Rothermundt will oversee the relationship between European Baseball and Major League Baseball as CEB emphasizes the need of a strong relationship between the two organizations to improve the development of the game in Europe.

A former French National Team player, Boris Rothermundt is head of the MLB recoginzed French Baseball Academy of Toulouse, Manager of the U23 and U18 French National Baseball Teams and Director of French Baseball player development. MLB’s referent in France since 2007, he has been involved in all MLB Europe projects since. Rothermundt will report directly to President Seminet.

Said President Didier Seminet: “Major League Baseball has been in Europe for 20 years, helping National Federations developing quality coaches and athletes. The newly elected Board of CEB recognizes the influential role of MLB in the development of the game in Europe and would like to implement a strong relationship between the two organizations to bring European Baseball to a new level in terms of coaches and player development, game promotion and fan engagement.”
