The VOITH Heidenheim Heideköpfe won the 2019 CEB Cup in Brno, Czech Republic. They defeated host Draci Brno 3-0 in the final on Sunday evening. During the tournament Heidenheim didn’t allow a run in five games. By winning the CEB Cup the Heidekoepfe secure Germany a second spot in the European Champions Cup for the 2020 season.

The final was a pitcher’s duel between two veterans. Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez conceded only three hits and a walk in eight scoreless frames to lead Heidenheim to the win, earning the MVP award for the tournament in the end. Former Major Leaguer Peter Moylan matched him for the first seven innings, allowing only seven hits.

Radim Chroust replaced Moylan in the eighth and promptly loaded the bases on a pair of walks and a hit by pitch. Martin Schneider took over, but gave up a two-run single by Gary Owens and a RBI single by Aaron Dunsmore to break the scoreless tie.
