Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Belgian Baseball and Softball Federation, the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) is going to hold its annual congress this weekend in Brussels. The three-day event already starts with meetings and workshops on Thursday and Friday before the actual congress takes place on Saturday. Visit www.baseballeurope.com/congress2011 for all the information, which was made public before the CEB Congress.
Today the executive committee and all the different commissions will hold meetings. On Friday more meetings for the commissions will follow. Additionally there will be work-shops for “BeeBall & Talent Development” and “Future EU Sport Funding Program”, a “Sports” seminar on 2011 events and competitions and regional meetings.
Saturday will be kicked off by a meeting between CEB and Little League and workshops for “European Player and Coach Development” and “New Development Program”. In the afternoon the CEB Congress will be held. The agenda reveals no spectacular subjects besides the usual reports, outlooks for 2011, budget talks and the announcement of the award winners. One topic which might be discussed though is the European participation in the IBAF Baseball World Cup in Panama.
