CB Sant Boi, FC Barcelona in two-team Race for Spanish Championship

Posted on May 28, 2010May 28, 2010 by philipp

It is down to a two-team race for the championship in the Spanish Division de Honor. The leading CB Sant Boi and the FC Barcelona are only separated by a single game in the loss column with the defending title holder Tenerife Marlins and Baseball Navarra already being seven games back. Both teams are also playing against each other in Puerto Cruz, which could even further widen the gap towards the top.

Sant Boi hosts local rivals and record champion CB Viladecans for a two-game series. Without Jorge Miqueleiz, who has returned to retirement after his game-winner last weekend, Barcelona travels to Valencia for their doubleheader with the Astros. Jose Carreras comes back after his year at Carter High School in the US, which should help the injury-plagued infield.
