30-year-old catcher Mike Nickeas is no longer on the 40-man roster of the Toronto Blue Jays. The MLB organization removed him last week and out-righted him to their Triple-A affiliate in Buffalo. He appeared in one game for the Blue Jays this year, playing one inning as a defensive replacement. Between 2010 and 2012 he saw playing time with the New York Mets in 73 big league games. In Triple-A he batted .166/.255/.251 with one home run and 11 RBI in 58 games.
