A pair of dramatic games featured day two at the Caribbean Series 2015 at Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico. In the afternoon Venezuela edged out the Dominican Republic 6-5 for their second win in as many games. All 11 runs were scored in the first two frames. Afterwards the bullpens shut down both offenses. Niuman Romero hit a solo home run for Venezuela. Oscar Salazar drove in two. Leury Garcia scored twice for the Dominican squad. Jean Toledo received the win, Carlos Pimentel the loss.
Cuba pulled off a 3-2 victory over Puerto Rico in the evening, scoring the winning run in the bottom of the tenth. Pinch runner Yosvani Alarcon crossed the plate to break the tie in walk-off style. After Cuba took a 2-1 lead in the second, the hosts came back in the fifth. Mario Santiago impressed with five scoreless two-hit innings of relief for Puerto Rico. Hector Mendoza picked up the win. Fernando Cabrera got charged with the loss.
