CARDINALS LOCK UP JOHN BAUM FOR 2010 SEASON…SIGN AMERICAN CATCHER SETH SUPLIN.
The Bern Cardinals are bringing back John Baum for his sixth season as player/coach for the club. Baum, who has led the Cardinals to four Swiss titles, and two Cup Qualifier wins in five seasons, will look to help his team rebound from a disappointing finals loss to the Therwil Flyers last year.
The Cardinals also announce the signing of Seth Suplin for the upcoming year. Suplin, from Bothell, Washington; will make his NLA debut this season. Seth was a standout catcher at Cedar Park High School where he went on to become a three-time all league selection, and in his senior season was named to the All-State team. He played his collegiate baseball at Edmonds Community College.
