Cardinals and Challengers battle for playoff seedings in Hunenberg
Sunday, the Zurich Challengers (14-8) host the Bern Cardinals (19-6) with both teams looking to solidify their positioning for the semi-finals. The Cardinals are currently tied for second place with the Lausanne Indians, but have won three games vs. the Indians giving them the tiebreaker. The Indians and Cardinals both play the Challengers, and a single game against each other to finish the regular season.
The Challengers, winners of eight straight games find themselves one win away from securing the final playoff berth. They still have a real chance at finishing in third place, thus avoiding the first place Flyers in the opening round. The last time the two teams played the Challengers recorded their first win in the regular season against the Cardinals in several years, they will hope to follow that up on Sunday.
Flyers look to lock down the regular season title for second straight year as they visit Reussbuehl
The Therwil Flyers (21-5) take on the last place Reussbuehl Eagles (1-23) Sunday. With two wins the Flyers once again secure the regular season crown. The Eagles, having the worst season in club history, have been no match for the upper tier of the league this year, and Sunday should be no different.
