The Netherlands defeated Greece 19-0 in five innings to improve to 2-0 at the 2011 IBAF Baseball World Cup. They scored eight runs in the second and nine in the third to win due to 15-run rule in the afternoon game in Aguadulce. Curt Smith went 3-for-3 with a homerun, four runs scored and three RBI. Mariekson Gregorius and Danny Rombley also went deep. Dwayne Kemp drove in four. Vince Rooi, who had both RBI in a 2-1 win over Taiwan on opening day, collected three more one day later. On the mound Juan Carlos Sulbaran (W, 1-0) allowed just four hits and a walk in five scoreless innings. Efthymio Karkatselos (L, 0-1) surrendered six hits, eight runs (3 ER) and a bb in just 1 2/3 innings for the loss. The Netherlands will make the trip to Panama City on Tuesday, facing Japan. Greece stays in Aguadulce to take on Canada.
