The tournament was a great success: we had great sunny weather, a lot of interesting games, attractive plays and technological innovations: we provided a platform for digital stats for the first time for this tournament (thanks to US-based GameChanger) and we also collaborated with a Bulgarian sports technology startup company to demonstrate the functions of a live physical and biometric condition tracking technology for the Bulgarian players during the opening day game against Serbia.
Most importantly, thanks to the great reaction and buzz surrounding the tournament, we were able to observe a juniors’ tournament on the day following the Balkan Championship (April 29) with a great attendance and a lot of children. We really hope to grow interest among the young generations.
