Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg add KBO Veteran

Posted on March 16, 2016March 16, 2016 by philipp

The German Baseball-Bundesliga club Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg has signed 38-year-old Korean outfielder Bong-kyu Kang for the 2016 season. He arrived in Germany on Tuesday. He is coming from KBO’s Samsung Lions to Regensburg, where he was playing since 2006.

He had started his professional career with the Doosan Bears. With the Buchbinder Legionaere the veteran is replacing Pascal Amon in the outfield, who signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers last summer. Kang won the Korea Series four times in his career. Last year the Lions mainly used him with the second team.
