British Baseball Federation: Opening Day Programme (2 April)

On behalf of the British Baseball Federation, we invite you to attend Opening Day at Farnham Park (Slough) on Sunday, 2 April 2017.

We have organised a full day of events on the same day at our national baseball and softball complex – Farnham Park (Slough). Catering and support will be available thanks to BaseballSoftballUK (BSUK).

Parking available on the grounds.

A great fun atmosphere of baseball and something for everyone, so join us.

National Baseball League – season opener

National defending champion (2016) Southampton Mustangs v London Mets (three time national champions).

Doubleheader – game one starts at 12:00 (main diamond). Entrance is free.

Elite Baseball Training (youths and seniors) – Justin Stone (starting at 09:30)

  • Justin teaches approximately 3,000 players (youth and adults) from across the US each year (teaching hitting, defense, pitching and catching).
  • His Elite Academy Travel Team was the US Perfect Game National Championship Runner-Up and followed that up this past year with a 3rd place finish in the coveted US Perfect Game WWBA National Championship.
  • Elite trained players (+1,000) have committed to US schools all over the country, from Arizona to Florida St., as well as schools in every major BCS conference.
  • Plus, Elite-trained players have gone on to play professionally.

Note: For affiliated clubs and their participants only.

Youth Mix-n-Match Competition (starting at 09:30)

Youths are welcome to register regardless of their skill. We will organise games throughout the day for youths based on their age and skills. No team entry required as individual players are welcomed. A great opportunity for youths to meet and play with other players from around the country. Coaches will be on hand to organise and oversee all of the games. Age groups will be from:

  • 7-10 (Minors)
  • 9-12 (Majors)
  • 13-16 (Juniors)
  • 15-18 (Seniors)

Game schedules will be based on how many youths register in advance. After that schedules and times will be announced on or before 27 March.

Note: For affiliated clubs and their participants only.

Please if you would like to participate and receive Elite Instruction and/or participate (youths only) in our Mix-n-Match please register in advance. If you would like to coach and/or volunteer to assist on the day we ask you further register. Places are limited, so it is first-registered-first-only basis, so register now.

Times are subject to change. Please refer to our website for more details leading up to the 2 April.
