British Baseball Federation announces official Adult Game Ball for 2015-2017

The British Baseball Federation has announced that the official game ball for all adult leagues for the 2015-2017 seasons will be the Baden 3B Perfection, supplied by Ransome Sporting Goods.

As part of a tri-partite agreement including the BBF, the British Softball Federation (BSF) and BaseballSoftballUK (BSUK), Ransome Sporting Goods will supply Baden balls to all three organisations over a three-year period encompassing the 2015-2017 seasons.

The official game ball for adult baseball will be stamped with the BBF logo and all member clubs (adult teams only) will be expected to use the officially-stamped balls for the 2015 season. All previous BBF adult baseball lists are superseded by this announcement.

SUPPLIER CHOICE

For the 2015 season, BBF clubs are required to buy the official game ball from Ransome Sporting Goods [http://www.rsgsport.com]. Details of how to purchase the balls will be published shortly by the BBF, in a separate announcement.

This change in the official ball will only affect BBF adult leagues and BBF-mandated adult tournaments and Championships. There will be no changes to existing arrangements for BBF youth leagues, although youth teams are encouraged to purchase the official baseball.

NOTE: Home teams are responsible for providing a minimum of three new official Baden 3B Perfection baseballs for each regulation game or be at risk of penalties. Details of the penalties for lack of adherence will be also be published shortly.
