On the second of three days in the preliminary round at the B-Pool European Championship in Trnava, Slovakia the national teams from Switzerland and Slovakia celebrated their second win each. Slovakia dominated Romania 19-1 in six innings. Seven runs in the second and six in the sixth blew the score wide open.
Switzerland scored two late runs in the seventh and ninth to prevail 2-1 over Ukraine. James Sanders, Taka Oshima and Tobias Siegrist kept Ukraine to one run through nine innings. Poland earned its first win in the competition with a 21-6 blowout against Finland. Belarus edged out Lithuania 4-3.
