B-Pool European Championship Trnava: Lithuania beats Ukraine to return to Playoff Series

For a second straight season Lithuania will play a playoff series hoping to earn a spot in the European Championship in Bonn and Solingen. They defeated Ukraine 7-5 on Saturday to win the B-Pool European Championship in Trnava, Slovakia. Lithuania now will face Israel in a best-of-three series at the end of the month. The site is yet to be decided.

Slovakia finished in third place in the tournament ahead of Switzerland. Belarus finished in fifth ahead of Poland, Finland and Romania. The complete results and statistics are available at www.baseballstats.eu.
