The Boston Red Sox and the St. Louis Cardinals will play in Major League Baseball’s World Series. The best-of-seven series between the pennant winners of American League and National League is scheduled to start on Wednesday, October 23 at Fenway Park in Boston.

The Cards were champions in 2006 and 2011. Overall it is going to be the 19th appearance in the World Series for St. Louis. Boston has reached the World Series for a 12th time. The Cards have won 11 times, the Red Sox seven times.
