The announced book about the 40 years of Mannheim Tornados Baseball and Softball has reached the book stores in retail and also can be bought online at shops like Thalia . It is called “Mannheim Tornados – A Baseball Success Story” and is available in German for €19.75.
The book, which has been written by current Tornados president Peter Engelhardt, starts with the first years of baseball in Mannheim in the 1950ies and 1960ies. In general it is a review of 40 years Mannheim Tornados since they were founded in 1975.
Interesting interviews and rare pictures are included as well as a 30-page chapter about the history of the German Baseball-Bundesliga. The Tornados have won 11 German championships and have been the record title holder.
