Bonn Capitals Will Host 2022 Champions Cup

Posted on November 29, 2021May 17, 2022 by MrBB

Germany’s Bonn Capitals will host the 2022 Champions Cup, Europe’s premier club competition. After hosting the 2019 European championship, the Capitals will now welcome Europe’s top clubs for a week of competition to determine the continent’s club champion.

The tournament field includes two teams apiece from the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands.

Arrows Ostrava and Draci Brno, who won the 2021 CEB Cup, Europe’s second cup competition, will represent the Czech Republic.

From Germany, the Capitals are joined by the Bundesliga champion Heidenheim Heideköpfe, with Italy’s representatives including the champions from San Marino and the Champions Cup holders Parma, who defeated the Capitals 6-4 to win the 2021 title.

The Dutch clubs Curacao Neptunus and L&D Amsterdam round out the field.

The 2022 Champions Cup is scheduled for June 7-12.
