The 26-year-old outfielder BJ Roper-Hubbert is going to stay with the German Baseball-Bundesliga club Bonn Capitals. The club announced the extension on Monday while congratulating him to the best batter award in the northern division in Germany. He batted .491/.553/.787 with seven homeruns, 36 runs and 25 RBI in 28 games during the regular season of the 2012 season. After getting eliminated with the Caps in the quarterfinals, Roper-Hubbert joined the Therwil Flyers in Switzerland and reached the Swiss Finals. In September he played for Great Britain at the World Baseball Classic Qualifier in Regensburg. It is going to be his third year in Bonn, where he also will serve as hitting coach and coach of the Capitals II in the German third division.
