Posted on September 26, 2011September 26, 2011 by philipp

The Hoboken Pioneers opened the 2011 Belgian Series with a pair of wins against the Namur Angels. The defending champion needs just one more win to celebrate its third consecutive championship. The best-of-five series started with a slugfest on Saturday, as Hoboken won 11-7 at home. In Namur one day later the Pioneers again had the better ending, edging out the Angels 4-3. Game three will be next Saturday at the Hoboken ballpark.
