The Borgerhout Squirrels forced a decisive fifth game in the Belgian Series with a 17-9 slugfest against the Deurne Spartans on Sunday. Four runs in the first and six in the fourth gave them an early 10-4 advantage. Five runs in the ninth secured the win definitely. Sam Boermans went 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double, three runs scored and seven RBI. Alexis Marquez and Joannes Ochoa Blanco had four RBI apiece. On Saturday the Spartans had taken a 2-1 lead in the series with an 8-3 win. Anderson Gerdel Nieto struck out eight in a complete game win.
