Posted on June 17, 2026June 17, 2026 by Gabriel Fidler

Last weekend, Because Baseball partnered with Major League Baseball for the fifth annual PLAY BALL Weekend in Egypt, all part of global festivities. At the same time, Will Lintern and the Greenwich Giants hosted a PLAY BALL event in London, while other events took place in Austria and Germany [link]. Part of the RBI program, Because Baseball focuses on introducing children in Egypt to baseball, as has featured such luminaries as Hunter Pence and Giancarlo Stanton at its clinics. The “Spotlight” short film on MLB Network celebrates the charity’s work in Cairo, with founder Kemp Gouldin discussing the future of baseball in Egypt [video].
