Lausanne Indians Stun Zurich Challengers
Game 1 – Lausanne used a strong offensive attack led by Jay CASIMIRO who was 4-for-5 with a home run to upset the Zurich Challengers 11-4 this past weekend. Player/Coach Jose COLON added a double and a homer while Nicholas JAQUEMET earned the win with a complete game victory.
Game 2 – The big bats of Lausanne outslugged the Challengers 13-10 to gain the sweep and revive their playoff hopes. Alexis RAMIREZ was 3-for-3 with a pair of walks, two doubles, and a homer for the Indians.
Embrach Rainbows Surprises Zurich Barracudas
Game 1 – The Rainbows snapped a 15 game losing streak with a 11-3 win over the Barracudas as Christopher HUTCHINSON connected for a Grand Slam home run.
Game 2 – The Barracudas salvaged a split as Jeffry MOTTL struck out seven hitters in four innings while allowing only two runs on four hits in a lopsided 25-2 victory. American import Dominic MCNUTTY led the offensive barrage with a double and a home run.
