2009 MABS Presentation Night

2009 came to an end, with MABS organizing its Annual Presentation Night at the Mellieha Sports Center in Mellieha. This has been the busiest year ever for MABS, which had a record of five leagues going on throughout the year, including a co-ed slow-pitch softball league which really took off this year.

Here listed are the 2009 Award winners:

Cadets League
Rookie of the Year – Simon Galea – Gozo Thunders
Most Valuable Player – Brendon Muscat – Mellieha Cubs

Juniors League
Rookie of the Year– Jacob Cini – Gozo Islanders
Most Valuable Player – Stephen Grima – Grand Slammers

2nd Division League
Rookie of the Year – Chardian Camilleri – Mavericks
Most Valuable Player – Silvan Busuttil – Mellieha Rookies

Seniors National League
Rookie of the Year – Steven Borg – Mellieha Northenders
Best Defensive Player – Clint Grima – Mellieha Northenders
Best Hitter – Keith Bartolo – Mellieha Northenders
Most Valuable Player – Charles Attard – Devils SC
