Baseball 2007 European Championships Juvenile – Report 2

The Czech Republic (5-0) defeated Poland 7-2 to win the European Juveniles Baseball Championships held in Sumperk and Olomouc, Czech Republic from July 10-14. The dominant Czech squad outscored opposing teams 88 to 13 and scored 20 or more runs in three of their five games.


The Polish national team (3-2) claimed a berth in the championship game with a surprising 5-4 win over Russia (3-1). Both of Poland losses were to the tournament champions. The Russians took home the third-place hardware.

Lithuania (1-3) captured fourth-place honors with a lone victory over Israel while Austria (2-3) settled for fifth place despite two wins. Bulgaria (1-3) and Israel (0-4) finished in sixth and seventh place, respectively
