Bart Volkerijk succeeds Hans Meijer as Managing Director of KNBSB

The Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB) is going to have a new managing director soon. Bart Volkerijk takes over for Hans Meijer, who will retire at the end of the year. Volkerrijk will start his new job on May 16. Since 2006 he had worked as director of the Sport Service South Holland foundation. The 59-year-old is a former pitcher for The Hague in the Dutch Hoofdklasse and a former member of the Dutch National Team. He participated in nine European Championships, seven Baseball World Cups and the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul.
