The attendance in Tenerife saw two different games this week. The MARLINS dominated the first match against BARCELONA behind the performance of starter Leslie Nacar and a solid day by the offense. Remigio Leal, who started for Homer Baez, took the loss. Dewis Navarro (MARLINS) had two doubles, scored a run and drove in another.
The second part of the series went in favor for the FCB. They overcame a 0-4 deficit to tie the game at the end of regulation and scored three runs in the top of the tenth for the win. Andoni Ortiz started for the squad from Catalonia, but was relieved in the fifth by Remigio Leal, who pitched another four innings, after going the distance on Saturday. Jorge Balboa closed out the game for the win. Ivan Granados began for PUERTO CRUZ and left the contest with a 4-2 score. However the Spanish national team prospect Audie Nunez could not defend the advantage and blew the lead. Jesus Golindano accounted for the game winner.
Baseball Navarra – CB Sant Boi 2-3, 13-3

CB SANT BOI took the first loss of the season this weekend. After winning game one 3-2 against NAVARRA, they lost the second 3-13.
Albert Vargas pitched seven dominant innings in the first one, with Fernando Quijada closing out the game for the save in his SANT BOI debut.
Jose Cruz started the second match in place of the injured Yoel Hernandez and it didn’t help the course of SANT BOI. The offense of NAVARRA scored eight runs in the sixth to decide the outcome. Cruz and Jose Luis Riera hit solo shots for the guests. Alberto Espanol pitched six frames for the victory.
San Inazio Bilbao – El Llano 4-3, 2-9

EL LLANO also lost for the first time this season. SAN INAZIO scored the go-ahead run in the fifth of game one and added two more a frame later. The team from Gijon rallied for two runs in the seventh, but could not tie the contest. Starter Erik Arteaga pitched eight innings for the win. Joan Lopez got the save. Ivan Roman had three of the eleven BILBAO-hits.
GIJON made it better in the second part of the doubleheader on Sunday. They opened the match with seven runs in the first two periods and won in seven innings, after the umpires called the game due to rain with EL LLANO leading 9-2. Miguel Rizo won the duel against Pedro Belmonte and received his third victory of the year.

The ASTROS are still waiting for their first victory after their promotion into the Division de Honor. In difference PAMPLONA, which could celebrate for the first time after two solid performances.
