The Italian Baseball League is apparently in danger of losing one of its members. According to a report by Baseball.it the Catania Warriors again have problems with their home ballpark. The report has a statement by president Antonio Consiglio, which cites that they currently have to share their facility in Sicily with other sports. And if they don’t find a solution in the next couple of weeks they have to withdraw from the IBL. The Warriors had similar problems before the start of the 2010 season, when only a last-minute push for necessary renovations at the now-called Joe DiMaggio Stadium in Palermo helped them to get the green light by the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS). The Warriors finished in seventh place in the final standings in the IBL this year.
