The promoted Bad Homburg Hornets continue to produce a competitive roster for the upcoming season in the southern division of the German Baseball-Bundesliga. On Monday they announced that they have added the former MLB Draft Pick Peter Wiggins to take over as the foreign pitcher in game two each week. The 26-year-old right-hander was selected out of high school by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 39th round of the 2003 MLB Amateur Draft. He didn’t sign and choose a college career. He attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Auburn University and Western Kentucky. He also pitched in the Cape Cod League. Since then he has been working as a high school coach.
