The German Baseball-Bundesliga club Bad Homburg Hornets announced its first roster additions for the 2012 season. Catcher Matti Emery and starting pitcher Matt Leonard will play for the southern division team this year. Emery is coming from the Gauting Indians. The Canadian is 24 years old and has an Estonian passport. The 23-year-old Leonard is a left-hander, who pitched in the Cincinnati Reds organization in the past two years. He is scheduled to arrive on March 13. The new coaching staff led by Roland Spitzegger, Kevin Nobles and Darryl Cormier hope to also add some German pitching depth until the start of the season at the end of the month.
