AVG Draci Brno, already left their home field and travelled to Matino, Italy for the European Cup, which takes place next week. The first stop was made on Thursday in San Marino to play an exhibition game against T&A San Marino. Although Draci lost 3-6 to San Marino, head coach Nesnal was satisfied with the performance, especially as the team came to the field after long tiring trip. One inning was pitched by new acquisition Pat Ahearne, two innings by Martin Schneider, with both not allowing a run. Prochazka followed and didn’t disappoint either, though he gave up some runs. The next stop was planned for Riccione, but their opponent cancelled the game. Before European Cup will start next Tuesday, Draci will play their last warm-up game on Sunday against a local team from Matino.
