Posted on October 12, 2008 by philipp

AVG DRACI won games three and four in the Czech Baseball Finals this weekend and captured their 14th consecutive championship with a 3-1 win in the best-of-five series against the ARROWS OSTRAVA.

On Saturday Tomas Polansky and Pavel Budsky hit homeruns for BRNO en route to a 4-1 victory in the third match of the finals. On the mound the ARROWS couldn’t figure out Martin Prochazka and Petr Minarik. Jon Jon Robles took the loss.

DRACI won the title on Sunday through an easy 8-2 win. They opened the scoring in the second frame and decided the outcome in the fifth, when Martin Vesely connected on a grand slam to blow the game wide open. OSTRAVA’s starter Boris Bokaj had a tough day in comparison to a week ago, when he led his team to their lone win in the final series.
