The Austrian Stahl Baseball Cup Finals will be played on Wednesday at 19:30 on the Spenadlwiese in Vienna. The event is sponsored by the Austrian Company Auto Stahl.The Stockerau Cubs (Austrian 1st league) will take on the Schwechat Blue Bats (2nd League) in the final. The Cubs upset regular season winners SUPERFUND Wanderers to reach the finals while the Blue Bats beat the 2007 Champion Vienna Metrostars.
The 2007 Stahl Baseball Cup included six 1st League and 2nd League clubs from the Vienna area and had games each Wednesday night on the Spenadlwiese. The Spenadlwiese has just been upgraded with flood lights.
