Austrian Baseball League: Metrostars rally in ninth to tie Austrian Finals

The finals in the Austrian Baseball League are tied at 1-1 after the first two games of the best-of-five series. The Vienna Metrostars rallied for three runs in the top of the ninth to prevail 3-1 over the Vienna Wanderers on Saturday. Joe Wilson drove in Amin Many in the first to give the Wanderers a 1-0 lead.

This lasted until the last frame. Lutz Rauch tied the contest with a RBI single. Peter Ferak and Rauch also crossed the plate thanks to a pair of wild pitches.

Rauch additionally pitched five innings of scoreless two-hit, three-walk relief to earn the win. Andrew Dowl got charged with three hits, three runs and five walks in 8 1/3 innings.
