Posted on October 23, 2017October 23, 2017 by philipp

The Austrian Baseball Finals return to Attnang-Puchheim for game six and possibly seven after the Vienna Wanderers won two of three games at home over the Athletics this weekend to reduce the deficit in the best-of-seven series to 2-3. However the A’s still only need one more win to defend their title.

In game three the Wanderers were led by Christian Tomsich, who pitched them to a 3-0 shutout. In game four Vienna also had a 2-0 lead, but the Athletics came back and won the game 4-2. Felix Wilhelm scored twice. In game five it was Attnang-Puchheim, which sported an early advantage, but the Wanderers scored twice in the eighth to win the contest 2-1 and send the series back to the Athletics ballpark.
