The Vienna Metrostars took a 2-0 lead in the first two games of the best-of-seven Austrian Baseball Finals against the Dornbirn Indians. In game one Vienna took a quick 7-2 lead after four innings and held on to a 7-4 victory in the end. In game two import pitchers Rusty Thompson and Mason Reed were locked into a vintage pitcher’s duel with the Metrostars winning the contest thanks to a sixth-inning run by Ben Salzmann.
