Austria names 24-Man Roster for U23 Baseball World Cup #u23worldcup

The Austrian Baseball Federation announced their final roster for the U23 Baseball World Cup in Monterrey, Mexico. 24 players have been selected by the coaching staff of manager Robert Buchelt. It’s going to be the first Baseball World Cup for Austria in federation history. They qualified as runner up of the U21 European Championship in 2014. Austria faces Australia, Argentina, Nicaragua, Japan and Chinese Taipei during first-round play. On Friday they played an exhibition game in Vienna against the Czech Republic, losing 0-17. Next weekend both teams will meet again in Brno for a doubleheader.
