Australian Jordan Dyer joins Mannheim Tornados

Posted on March 14, 2012March 14, 2012 by philipp

The Mannheim Tornados have added Jordan Dyer to the roster for the 2012 season. He is the fourth new player after Matt Kemp, Jan-Niclas Stoecklin and Luke Matthews. The 19-year-old Australian can catch and play third base and second base. He batted .375 playing in the State League in Australia this winter. In 2011 he was a member of the Perth Heat in the Australian Baseball League. He also has been twice invited to the MLB Australian Academy. He has a British passport and therefore doesn’t occupy a foreign player spot on the roster.
