The Australian Baseball League starts into the 2015/2016 season. On Friday the extended 56-game schedule starts with three games between the Canberra Cavalry and the Brisbane Bandits, the Melbourne Aces and the Sydney Blue Sox as well as the Perth Heat and the Adelaide Bite. All games will be live streamed through YouTube. It’s the sixth season in the ABL with the Perth Heat being the defending champion.
As usual several American and Australian players, who are or were active in Europe during the summer, will spent the winter in the ABL like Wilson Lee (Bonn Capitals/Adelaide Bite). After the success stories of Donald Lutz (Canberra Cavalry) and Markus Solbach (Sydney Blue Sox) another German player looks to make an impact in the ABL with Jan-Niclas Stöcklin. The German national team right-hander, who was selected for Team Europe in March, will suit up for the Blue Sox this winter.
