The Australian Baseball League continued its 2013/2014 season with a full game day this weekend. The Melbourne Aces made the biggest splash, sweeping its four-game set against the Adelaide Bite to move back to .500 and into a tie for third place in the standings. Strong pitching and clutch hitting lifted the Aces to the four-win weekend. The Canberra Cavalry and the Perth Heat remain tied for first after splits against the Sydney Blue Sox respective Brisbane Bandits.
