The Australian Baseball Federation has named its first batch of national team players which will compete against the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Dodgers prior to the MLB Opener 2014 in Sydney, Australia. Justin Huber, Brad Thomas, Luke Hughes, Brad Harman, Stefan Welch and Tim Kennelly have been selected by national team manager Jon Deeble. Australia will play against the Diamondbacks and Dodgers in a two-game series on March 20 and 21. Afterwards the two MLB clubs open the new MLB season Down Under on the renovated Sydney Cricket Ground.
