Posted on April 30, 2010 by philipp

The Athletics settled for a split against the Metrostars

The Athletics Attnang-Puchheim host the Schwechat Blue Bats on Saturday to open week three in the Austrian Baseball League. The A’s started with a split against the Vienna Metrostars, while the Blue Bats beat the Union Kufstein Vikings in both ends of their doubleheader. Especially starting pitcher Phillip Brenner and Jiri Gal set the tone with complete game performances. Attnang-Puchheim will miss Jon Kashuba due to a knee injury, but will have their new American pitcher Miles Etheridge on the mound for the first time this year.
