Asia Series “International Tournament of Champions“ gets underway – Watch Live on YouTube

The 2013 Asia Series “International Tournament of Champions” got underway on Friday. All games will be broadcasted live on CPBL’s YouTube Channel, as well as on TV in Japan, Taiwan, Korea and Australia.

The international tournament, which this year features the winners of the Australian Baseball League (ABL), Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL), European Champions Cup (CEB), Korea Baseball Organisation (KBO) and Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), will be played from November 15 to 20 at Intercontinental Stadium in Taichung.

The Canberra Cavalry (ABL), Uni President Lions, EDA Rhinos (both CPBL), Fortitudo Bologna (CEB), Samsung Lions (KBO) and Rakuten Golden Eagles (NPB) will square off in the six-team tournament.

A round robin will be played in the first round with the two best teams of each preliminary round pool advancing to the semi-finals. The championship game is set for Wednesday, November 20.
